Playing everyday

I hope that as Caswell gets older he will still want to and enjoy playing by himself. I love watching and listening to him play with his toys. My wish is that Caswell can be independent and will grow up knowing how to always play and be creative. It is oh so cute to watch him play. He really loves his cars and will make a "vrmm vrmm" sound when he is playing even if it is not with a car. I think you are going to be a little motorhead as you grow up.

Happy Birthday Jeff!

To my best friend and daddy to the love of my life...
Here's to you. Many more to come. I look forward to every birthday spent with you and every day in between.

Caswell had fun helping daddy opening his presents. I can only imagine what his first birthday will be like. And then Christmas!!

Even Razel had fun opening presents.

9 Months Old

I think I say this every month...Caswell is growing up so fast. It is hard to believe or understand what others mean when they tell you your baby will grow up so fast. Literally sometimes it feels like Caswell changes in the blink of an eye.
He is crawling around now. I love to watch him play. He really loves toys with wheels and of course ones that make noise. He says "mum mum" really well. At his last check up he weighed 22.2 pounds and is 30.3 inches tall. He is so observant and wants to know what others around him are doing. He likes to splash around in his pool over at Gramma's house and enjoys swinging at the park. Caswell is so loved. He has a great time over at Aunt Cassie's house, playing with Brandon and even going for walks with Grandma and Grandpa.

Peek-A-Boo

Caswell was having so much fun playing Peek-A-Boo on Great Grandma Bunny's new carpet.

We hope you can find time to play today.

One Beautiful Bassinet

When my mom was pregnant with me (back some years ago - close to 35) she was working at Fairview Hospital. One thing on her wish list for me was a Jenny Lind bassinet from Dayton's. Some guys who worked in the building and maintenance department at Fairview caught wind of this and went to the Dayton's downtown to look at the bassinet. First look at it, they thought it was junk and made pretty cheap. So what did they do being carpenters themselves, but make my mom a beautiful bassinet.

Here I am (1976)...

They did a wonderful job (they had to for it to last this long).
I took this picture before we left for the hospital on Caswell's Birth Day. I knew it would not be long before he would be able to enjoy it.

I was so excited to be able to use this with Caswell. He slept in it for 8 months. I would have kept him in it longer but he was getting way too big for it and I am not sure how he was able to, but found a way to roll over in it. It is going in our attic because who knows someday (and definitely not too soon) he may have a little guy or girl sleeping in it too. :)

Good Morning!

I just had to share this picture. I love how Caswell is smiling and waving hi! This is how he is every morning. I love waking up to this adorable little guy everyday!

Now time to get serious...

Caswell loves to play with his Fisher Price Lil' Zoomers. Uncle Stevie bought him all of these fun toys.
Thanks Uncle Stevie!

We got Surly!!

This past Saturday Jeff, Caswell, my mom, step-dad and I got a tour of the Surly Brewing Company in Brooklyn Center, MN. The tour is free, they just ask you bring a food donation. The first thing you get to do is sample their beer. Why does anyone go on a beer tour but to sample beer, right? It was pretty HOT that day so even I enjoyed a nice cold "Hell" (one of their many beers on tap). It was fun to hear all about how they started and how they plan to expand over the next few years. If you ever get a chance to register for one of their tours I highly recommend it. It was fun, very laid back and refreshing.

Caswell gets his 2nd haircut

This time I got to take some pictures while Jeff cut his hair.
Caswell does not mind the clippers at all.
I have to admit I was just a little nervous.

Just let me play with the remote and you can do anything to my hair.

See mom, I am loving it!

Dad, what's taking so long?

Cute as ever!
