T-Ball Summer 2014

Caswell played T-Ball thru the YMCA this summer.  We signed up with his friend Axel.  At first Caswell was not quite into it but towards the last few nights, he was right in there, chasing and batting the ball.  One of the bad things is, the field had a park right next to it.  The first few nights, Caswell just wanted to run over there to play.  I don't blame him.  We had nice weather though so it was fun to have an excuse to be outside.  

Highland Fest 2014

We decided to bike over to Highland to check this place out.  We went to get burgers from the Nook but they were all sold out.  :(  Caswell had the best time ever.  He had no fear going down the big inflatable water slide.  He even had a few cheerleaders (aka twenty something year old girl taking pics and videos of him and saying how cute he was).  When they finally left he was sad they were not there anymore.  We stayed well past dark.  They had a climbing wall and a half of dozen other inflatables to jump around in. 

This is somewhere we will definitely check out next year.

Fun at Richfield Family Night 2014

Caswell had a blast jumping and sliding on/in all the inflatables.  

He kepis asking to go in the "bonker" again.  Yeah the second to last picture is exactly what it looks like.  This big tube thing would come around (an operator was controlling it) and if you did not duck or jump over it, it literally would bonk you over.  He LOVED it.

Fathers Day 2014

Big Bugs at the MN Zoo

We went to the Members evening of the Big Bugs exhibit opening.  Caswell walked pretty fast thru the  actual exhibit but had a good time at the end playing on the bugs (caterpillar and ladybug) they allow to climb on.  

A day at the Children's Museum - Dinosaurs

Of course we had to visit the Children's Museum when they had the dinosaurs there.  Daddy had not been there yet so we took him along.  We ended up going on the third Sunday of the month when admission is free per a sponsorship from Target.  Can't beat that.  Caswell had a blast playing in the dinosaur room.  He latched onto one of the staff members there and kept calling her" my friend" and asking her to play with him everywhere.

I love how the museum is split up into different rooms.  Of course being the water boy Caswell is, he loves playing in the water area.  

National Train Day 2014

All Aboard!!

I can't remember what year this train was, but it was pretty old and very very plain compared to the new Amtrak train we toured before this one.
